Fanny Franker is the post master of Pinata Island and runs the village post office. As post master, you can go to Fanny to send and retrieve messages, and to purchase crates to pack up items in your garden. Into crates you can pack up pinatas, accessories, plants and their seeds, fencing, or other garden objects. In Viva Piñata, you can pack up to five of the same items in a crate, while in Trouble in Paradise you can pack up to twelve of the same items depending on what they are. She only appears and provides postal services in Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, with Gretchen Fetchem taking on postal services in Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise.
To get a crate, go to the village menu and select the post office. There you can buy a crate for one chocolate coin. Then, press the "Y" button to enter pack mode and select whatever you wish to pack up. After making your selections, return to the crate and press the "X" button to see the crate menu, where you can choose to add a message, add some chocolate coins, or just send the crate as is. You can use this either as a means of storage to save up room in your garden, or you can send the crate to anyone on your Xbox friends list via Xbox Live. If you send the crate to someone else and they don't open it within two weeks, in real time, the crate will be sent back to you. When a package arrives, an alert will come up for you. To receive the package, you must go to the Post Office and press the "X" button to bring up packages you've received. There, you can see who sent the package and even the contents of the crate. You can then send the crate to your garden, where you can unpack its contents.
- If you talk with Leafos, she might say one of two things about Fanny. One is a rumor that Fanny steams open love letters and copies them into a romance novel she's writing. The other is that she thinks Bart may have a crush on Fanny, adding that she might tell her to see what she thinks of that.
