In Viva Piñata, Ivor will first appear once you reach level 12 as "Ivor Beggar". If your charitable and give him chocolate coins, he'll leave you alone for a while. Once you give him 1,000 chocolate coins, Ivor will find that he has enough to open his own shop in the village and become Ivor Bargain! His store will carry many special items, produce and tools that are not available at Costolot's General Store, with new items being added each time you level up.
In Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise, Ivor will come to your garden once you reach level 5. If you have the chocolate coins and are charitable, giving Ivor 1000 coins will have him leave you alone for a while. When he comes back, he will be hungry and ask for a Sandwich, Carrot Cake and Milk, and will leave again once you give him all three items. Finally, he will come back and ask for a Jack o'lantern and some Wool, at which point he finds he has enough to become a trader and transforms into Ivor Bargain! He'll open a shop as a section of Costolot's General Store, where he'll carry many rare and valuable items such as the Gem Tree seed, the One Pour Wonder Watering Can, and special upgrades for your Shovel, with more items becoming available as you level up.
In Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise, Ivor won't appear until you acquire a Wishing Well, which will become available in Costolot's General Store after you have viewed the game credits in the main menu. Once you've placed a wishing well in the garden, Ivor will be down at the bottom of the well, saying that he's "made a few enemies" and needs to hideout for a while. In exchange, Ivor will give you chocolate coins and items in return for you throwing some of your coins into the well. Small donations will grant you rotten vegetables and weed seeds, while larger donations may grant you rare seeds or several coins worth 2,500 each. The first time you throw in 9,999 coins, Ivor will give you an Amber Gem which is needed to acquire a Choclodocus egg
