The Haunted Painting is an enemy in Grabbed by the Ghoulies.

Characteristics

Haunted Paintings are a living painting and a Ghouly. They look the same as the painting Temporary Weapons but have a ghastly face. One side of a Haunted Painting consists of a muddy brown face, complete with orange eyeballs, a small nose, a large mouth with eight sharp teeth, and a purple tongue which always sticks out. Like their Temporary Weapon counterpart, Haunted Paintings have a picture of a Hunchback on the other side. Haunted Paintings look the same as normal paintings until Cooper approaches them, to which it jumps up and starts to attack. Haunted Paintings are capable of levitating. Their main attack is spinning while turned face-up. At first, when using this attack, the Haunted Painting spins in the same spot for a few seconds before launching itself at Cooper. If hit, Cooper loses 3 Energy. In later encounters, Haunted Paintings also attack by spinning into the air and then dive-bombing at Cooper, who loses 6 Energy if hit. Cooper can defeat a Haunted Painting by hitting it twice, although a Haunted Painting defeats itself after using its dive-bomb attack. In both cases, the Haunted Painting shatters into pieces. Haunted Paintings are one of the only Ghoulies who do not have a Challenge icon.
