Vampire Chickens are an enemy in Grabbed by the Ghoulies.
Characteristics
Vampire Chickens are a type of Ghouly with dark red feathers, green eyes, and two fangs sticking from their upper beak. They have 20 Energy. At first, Vampire Chickens start out as Chickens, which are ordinary brown chickens with pink feet and a pink head. Portraits of them can be seen in various rooms within Ghoulhaven Hall. Chickens are neither hostile nor reactive toward Cooper; they simply walk around and eat grain off the floor. If a Chicken is provoked, it conceals itself within an egg and breaks out as a Vampire Chicken a few seconds later. Vampire Chickens attack by jumping on Cooper's head and biting him. If bitten, Cooper loses 2 Energy. Big Head Imps use a similar attack except Vampire Chickens jump off after biting Cooper whereas Big Head Imps must be shaken off. Vampire Chickens have a second attack in which they flap into the air and project themselves toward Cooper. If Cooper gets hit, he loses 4 Energy. Vampire Chickens only use this attack in Chapter 2, Scene 22: Chicken Shed or toward other Ghoulies if they are under the effect of Traitor Fever!. Being vampires, Vampire Chickens are vulnerable to garlic, so Cooper can instantly defeat a Vampire Chicken by shooting garlic at it from Ol' Edna.
