THQ was an American company that served both as a video game developer and publisher. Since Conker's Bad Fur Day did not meet Nintendo of Europe's standards, THQ partnered with Rare to publish the game in Europe.[1]

On August 12, 2003, it was announced that THQ signed a distribution agreement with Microsoft to publish four of Rare's games on Game Boy Advance,[2] although the remakes for the Donkey Kong Country trilogy were published by Nintendo. The last game published by THQ is a Nintendo DS game made by Rare, Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise.
