- RareNet (1997-2010) - the first fansite to have had an exclusive tour of Rare's studio, transformed into a wiki in 2005 for open fan contribution.
- Rare-Extreme (2000-2013) - the only other fansite to have done (two) tours of Rare's studio.
- MundoRare (2001-2010) - wanted to film a documentary to grow the fansite, which Rare refused, prompting closure.
