Commodore International was an American-based electronics manufacturing company that participated in the development of the personal home computer industry in the 1970's and 80's. The company developed and marketed the Commodore 64 in 1982, and the Amiga line in 1985. Although the company ultimately went bankrupt, Commodore International was one of the worlds largest personal computer manufacturers and its computer systems retained a cult following long after it's demise.
