Silent Service is a simulation game ported to the Nintendo Entertainment System by Rare Ltd. in 1989. The game is set in the Pacific Ocean during World War II, wherein the player takes on the role of a US submarine on patrol against Japanese shipping. The game allows the player to choose when to attack, and provides a whole range of realistic tactics to use.
