Donkey Kong Racing is an unreleased video game that was to be released for the Nintendo GameCube back in 2002. However, due to Rare's move to Microsoft and their loss of rights to the Donkey Kong series, it was initially planned to be reworked into Sabreman Stampede and finally cancelled. This game was also going to be one of the sequels to Diddy Kong Racing, and Diddy Kong Pilot, which was also canceled. Not much is known about this game, except that it was going to have a variety of Animal Buddies as "vehhicles", with alternative colors and sizes. The other cancelled DK games aside from this one are Diddy Kong Pilot which was reworked into Banjo-Pilot and Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers which was reworked into Its Mr. Pants.

Due to the presence of Taj the Genie, it can be speculated that other characters from Diddy Kong Racing may have been planned. It is unsure whether Banjo the Bear or Conker the Squirrel would be expected, since they have both developed separate series (the latter targeting a diffrent age group entirely).
Most details about the game are unknown. The main mechanic was that the Kongs (and Taj, who was also in the trailer) would ride Animal Friends as "vehicles", with varying colors and sizes.

In the teaser, all animals (both ridable and wild) are originally featured in the first Donkey Kong Country, with the exception of Ellie the Elephant. This leads to the possibility that other animals from Donkey Kong Country 2 and 3 may have been planned.
The two other Donkey Kong games shown at E3 2001, Diddy Kong Pilot and Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers, were also cancelled but later reworked into Banjo-Pilot and Donkey Kong Coconut Crackers respectively.
