Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge
Mecha-Grunty makes its only and first appearance in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge as the antagonist of the game along with Klungo who has caused the events to happen in the game. After Grunty was crushed by a rock after she fell off her lair in Banjo-Kazooie, Klungo has been trying a lot to get her out of the rock. Two months later, however, Klungo invented a Mecha-Grunty machine which sucked in Grunty's spirit at the rock where Grunty was trapped inside of.
Mecha-Grunty, when battled, is rather tricky as it shoots lasers at Banjo and Kazooie in one battle when tall, shockwaves surrounding it in the others. Two battles have Mecha-Grunty hovering up the air and trying to land on Banjo and Kazooie to crush them. Their chance to attack it in most of the battles, except the egg battle, is for Banjo and Kazooie to wait for Mecha-Grunty to give up its shockwaves and make its signature evil laugh, making Banjo have to use his Forward Roll attack into it.
At the end of the game, when Mecha-Grunty is defeated, it collapses and Grunty's soul returns to her regular self. Then, she asks Klungo to call her sisters to free her from the rock, thus starting the events of Banjo-Tooie which also had Mecha-Grunty's remains rebuilt into the Hag 1.
