Wheel of Fortune: Family Edition is a puzzle game developed by Rare Ltd. in 1990 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Based on the TV game show of the same name, the goal is to solve word puzzles by guessing the missing letters. Allowing up to three human players at a time to partake, players take turns spinning the wheel to receive a designated amount of money to earn, or go bankrupt if they land on the wrong space. Players can guess a consonant, and if it fits the puzzle, that letter fills the spaces and earns the player the amount of cash specified by their spin of the wheel multiplied by the number of times that the letter appears.
