WWF WrestleMania Challenge
WWF WrestleMania Challenge is a wrestling game developed by Rare Ltd. for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990. The game features nine wrestlers; Hulk Hogan, André the Giant, "Macho King" Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, The Big Boss Man, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, Ravishing Rick Rude, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and "Yourself" the player as a generic character. The game features fluid gameplay and unique movesets for each wrestler. The game also has the new feature of being able to fight your opponents both inside and outside the ring. The matches are presented at a high-angle, isometric view of the ring with the wrestlers' stamina bars placed along the apron. When a stamina bar drops to empty, that wrestler will be vulnerable to pinfalls. Gameplay modes available include one-on-one matches, tag team matches, three-on-three Survivor Series elimination matches, a championship mode where the player as "Yourself" must defeat all the game's wrestlers to win, and a two-player only tag team championship mode where the players control two "yourself" characters to defeat the game's wrestlers in a series of tag team matches to become champions.
