Slalom

From Rare Wiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

Slalom is an arcade skiing video game developed by Rare in 1986 for the Nintendo VS. System (as Vs. Slalom) and ported for NES the following year. It was developed by the brothers Chris and Tim Stamper, also being David Wise's first game to compose music for. Slalom was the first NES game developed outside Japan, and the first game released under the Rare brand. It was later included in the Rare Replay compilation.

Gameplay

The premise of the game is to get down the ski slope as fast as you can before time runs out, all the while avoiding hazards such as moguls, snowmen, trees, sledders, ski gates, flags and drone skiers.
