Medusas are an enemy in Grabbed by the Ghoulies.

Characteristics

Medusas are a type of Ghouly, although they are named after the Greek mythological figure of the same name. Medusas are blue-skinned women with pointy teeth, orange eyes with small back pupils, pink lips, green streaks of hair and five green snakes growing from her head. She also wears a white stola, brown sandals and a headband with a purple diamond on the middle of it. Medusas have a total of 30 Energy.

Medusas have two different behavioral patterns. Many of them act sentinels and wander around while emanating a green spotlight from each eye to the floor. If Cooper moves into the light, the Medusa yells at him, inducing a Super Scary Shock. This may even occur if the Medusa is under the effect of the "Freeze Ghoulies!" Super Soup. If Cooper does not overcome the Super Scary Shock, he loses 10 Energy. Other Medusas wander around without projecting a green light, and if Cooper is near one of these Medusas, she extends the size of her snakes and quickly strikes the ground. If Cooper is hit, he gets pushed back and loses 4 Energy. Most Medusas transition between these behaviors, although some act only as sentinels. If a Medusa is knocked to the floor, she turns red and invincible until she gets back up, much like Jessie & Clyde.
