Kinect Sports Rivals is a sports game created by Rare Ltd. in 2014 for the Xbox One. Using the Xbox One's high-res camera, the game creates a detailed, digital athletic version of the player to use in the various sports events in the game. Such is the amount of detail the camera can capture, the avatar reflects the player's hand, finger and facial movements, as well as the traditional limb and body movements. Having, essentially, the most accurate and responsive game avatar system to date, Kinect Sports Rivals is able to give the player the opportunity to compete against NPC rivals, real life friends and other players from around the world as themselves.
