Killer Instinct Gold is the Nintendo 64 port of Killer Instinct 2, developed by Rare Ltd. in 1996. Due to the difference in storage space between the arcade and Nintendo 64, many features of the game were either removed or changed, such as frames of animation and how the backgrounds were rendered. It was in 2015 included in the Rare Replay compilation.
