The British Broadcasting Corporation Microcomputer System, or BBC Micro for short, is a series of microcomputers built in the 1980s for the BBC Computer Literacy Project. Designed with an emphasis on education advancement, the computers were notable for their ruggedness, expandability, high quality operating system, and successful use as a home computer despite it's high cost.
